In which our boys are growing up, the trails await, and there's a garden

Both of these guys passed a big milestone this weekend!

Will and Henry, 2009

On Friday, Will graduated from the HVAC program at CITC, a vocational trade school for construction industries. This program had him working as an HVAC apprentice while studying hands-on and academic skills.

Outstanding Student award!

Then, on Saturday, young Henry did this:

Everett High School, class of 2019

We are so proud of them both, even if we really continue to think they still look like this:

Hot dog feast.  Henry was amazed at Will's ability to eat hot dogs.
I think they are more evenly matched these days.

On Sunday, we had no social plans, so you know what I did.

Our first time out since returning home from the Cross-State ride

The day was warm and sunny, so I aimed for the shady trails.

shady trails at Bracken trail system

Such a pretty day.

We ended up at the river!

We startled a mama merganser duck and her ducklings.  Fiddle was sure that the duck was going to explode,
but I explained about mama ducks and molting, and she mostly believed me.

The sun was pretty

The flies were bothering Fee when we were in patchy sun/shade, so I have a bunch of photos
with her ears flopping everywhere.

A beautiful day

After all that, I think I'll relax and pull some weeds this afternoon.

Some bean vines (photo left) are almost to the roof-line of the frame already!

Summer:  it's good.

  2. I remember the day Will arrived at SeaTac those many moons ago. He has done great, and lucky to have you both.
