In which I spend a few hours helping Santa Jim do jolly things

"I have a gig right down the road," Santa Jim said to me last weekend.

"Wanna come with me?"

Heck, yeah.

Adding a little color to the outfit

Santa Jim usually travels either totally in garb, or totally in civilian clothes.  But this venue was literally 8 minutes from home, and on our own road!

So, he wore his britches and boots, and put the other costume pieces in a garment bag to keep them out of the rain.

After he got all dressed up, the carriage arrived to take him to out to the Grand Entrance.

Inside the hall, Santa gathered folks and told some stories.

Stories are not just for little kids -- the adults enjoy them too!

After the storytelling came the part that the kids like most:  talking to Santa one-on-one.

The little person asked for "a LEGO."

Santa loves talking with children

"Smile for the camera!"

...And I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight....

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
