In which we all sing a childhood song about the cold, wet, white weather
The more it
SN*WS
(tiddly pom)
The more it GOES
(tiddly pom)
The more it GOES
(tiddly pom)
On SN*WING.
And nobody KNOWS
(tiddly pom)
How cold my TOES
(tiddly pom)
How cold my TOES
(tiddly pom)
are GROWING!
The poets at Haiku Farm wish to thank A.A. Milne and Winnie the Pooh for making up this entirely appropriate hum.
We need a sound track!
ReplyDeletehaha! i don't even know the tune, but i'm tiddly-pomming along :)
ReplyDelete& so it goes! Snow & cold!
ReplyDeleteCan I borrow your goats?
ReplyDeleteWinnie the Pooh rocks.
ReplyDeleteJames James Morrison Morrison Weatherby George Dupree...
Perfect horse name. (Took great care of his mother, though he was only three)
EvenSong & Georgia & HogeHome: come on over and we will sing!
ReplyDeleteDom: these goats are almost as cute as your dog ;-)
Jane: perhaps I should name my next endurance horse JJMMWGDuP? How much fun would that be at the awards meeting: "and in 25th place, AareneX and James James Morrison Morrison...etc."
My father can sing this song with great relish and a British accent (well... worn down over the years to mid-atlantic).
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a rare freeze in Cambridge, England, where he carefully flooded the concrete terrace area with water so that we could "skate" in our boots.
Always prudent to only let your toes go cold a few steps from a warm house!
